The Bardi people, also spelt Baada or Baardi are an Aboriginal Australian people who live north of Broome and inhabiting parts of the Dampier Peninsula in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. They are ethnically close to the Jawi people, and several organisations refer to the Bardi Jawi grouping, such as the Bardi Jawi Niimidiman Aboriginal Corporation Registered Native Title Body and the Bardi Jawi Rangers.

As young man, I grew up in Broome spending a lot of my youth with family (D'Antoine) on the coastline of Broome & One Arm Point (Ardyaloon). My family moved back to Perth in the early 90's looking for other work opportunities where we now reside but still remained close to our ties with the land of our ancestors.

Through-out my 23-year career I've continued to work very closely with our first nations people in numerous engagement and roles throughout the Kimberly and Pilbara region. I have had the privilege of working and shaping projects with many native title groups such as Ngarluma Yindjibarndi and Wintawari Guruma which has been deeply insightful in understanding my own ancestry and seeing places in Australia that many local people won't get the opportunity to see.

It has been an amazing journey to learn and see how rich aboriginal culture truely is, and this is something I truely hope to continued experiencing within HSEQ Logics business engagements.
